Rally to save Liverpool’s closure-threatened children’s centres
 

Parents and campaigners will march through the streets in support of Liverpool’s closure-threatened children’s centres.
A rally will be held outside Picton children’s centre at 1.30pm on Thursday, with some parents marching from the nearby Granby children’s centre.
It comes after council chiefs warned the city’s 17 SureStart centres could face closures unless a long-term deal to secure their future is reached.
A petition calling for the children’s centres to be saved has so far been signed more than 600 times.
