Raiders use mallet in dramatic smash-and-grab at Cleethorpes pawnbrokers

Police are hunting for three men after a dramatic attempted smash-and-grab raid at a Cleethorpes pawnbroker's shop.
The incident happened at the Ramsdens shop in St Peter's Avenue, Cleethorpes, after 3pm today.
One of the would-be raiders is thought to have used a wooden mallet to try to smash his way through the shop window, where items are on display.
A large hole was left in the window and smashed glass was left showered on the ground outside the shop.
The mallet that is said to have been used in the raid was still lying on the pavement outside the shop after the incident.
