RAF jets scrambled to intercept two Russian NUCLEAR bombers off coast of UK
 

The Tupolev Tu60s, which are equipped to fire nuclear missiles, were intercepted heading towards the UK.
They continued to fly towards Ireland before tacking south to France and Spain, where they were picked up in separate locations off Spain's northern Atlantic coast, close to the city of Bilbao.
British Typhoons were involved alongside French Rafale jets and Spanish F-18s.
The Russian bombers - codenamed Blackjack by NATO - were first spotted on Norwegian radar on the morning of September 22 as they tracked across northern Europe.
