Queen of the South's Australian striker Lyndon Dykes helps Dumfries side to 2-0 win over Linfield
 

There was a battle of youth versus experience on Sunday as veteran Linfield keeper Roy Carroll and Queens striker Lyndon Dykes went toe to toe at Palmerston.
The 39-year-old goalie, in his 21st season as a professional, looked to be winning the fight as his string of top saves forced the goalless Irn-Bru Cup tie into extra time.
But 21-year-old Dykes, who is enjoying his debut season as a pro, finally got the better of the ex-Manchester United and Olympiacos man in the 102nd minute when he latched onto a Stephen Dobbie pass to put the Doonhamers one-up with his third goal for the club.... read more
