Quadrophenia legend Phil Daniels talks about his preference for hard-hitting drama
 

It is almost four decades since he sat astride a chromed-up Lambretta as mod wannabe Jimmy Cooper in Quadrophenia but the 58-year-old actor, born and raised in London’s King’s Cross, only has to utter a few words in his deep, half-wary, tone and the years roll away. Daniels is back and in the role of a more mature, if no less fiery, rebel.
