Public meeting tonight into plans for 100 new homes in village
 

A public meeting is being held tonight into a new housing estate planned for a west Cumbrian village.
The proposal for around 100 homes on two areas of farmland off School Brow in Moresby Parks, on either side of the village school, have attracted a 144-signature petition and 39 individual letters of objection.
Objectors to the plans, submitted in principle to Copeland council by landowners J&B Stamper, raise concerns about the size of the development and the increase in traffic it would bring. Two letters of support have also been lodged.
