Protest to be held outside "gay cure" church later this month



Protestors are set to demonstrate against a Liverpool church exposed as offering “dangerous” gay ‘cure’ therapies.
The University of Liverpool’s Amnesty International society is holding a protest outside the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries’ Breck Road branch after an ECHO investigation exposed the church’s assistant pastor ‘Brother Michael’ as offering starvation therapy which he said could ‘cure’ gay people.
Joe Ferguson, LGBT+ officer for the group, was inspired to organise the event after reading the ECHO’s investigation in August.
