Property tycoon Nick Candy snubbed in bid to raise £6m in China after missing a deadline
A website backed by property tycoon Nick Candy is scrambling to secure cash from Chinese investors after missing a deadline.
Audioboom, which hosts podcasts listened to more than 50million times a month, was hoping to announce a £6.3million cash injection by the end of September.
But the business said a formal agreement had not yet been signed. Discussions were still 'active' with the unnamed Chinese fund.
Candy, 43, is a former non-executive director of the business and owns a 12.7 per cent stake worth around £1.9million.
