Prolific thief banned from two Co-op stores after spate of thefts



DRUG user Tom Atkinson has been banned from two Co-op stores after he carried out several thefts.
The 24-year-old stashed items in his overalls and left shops without paying four times in three weeks – before he was caught during his fifth attempt.
North Staffordshire Justice Centre heard Atkinson stole:
* Groceries worth £33 from the Co-op at Westbury Park on July 10;
* Food worth £50.53 from the same store on July 14;
* Meat worth £282 from the Audley Co-op on July 31;
* Medicine worth £200 from Asda, in Wolstanton, on August 2.
