Professional car thieves are using 'Fast and the Furious style' tactics to thwart the police and bypass anti-theft devices.
Teams of crafty criminals are working together in Liverpool to disappear with cars of all sizes.
Dennis Middleton, 24, told the ECHO how a well-organised gang of thieves snatched his Land Rover Defender - even though he had installed an immobiliser.
He said: “It was parked on a gradient so I was told by police it is most likely the thieves went underneath the car, cut the handbrake and rolled it onto the back of a truck.
