Primark boosts Lanes numbers by 25 per cent



Shopping centre bosses say the opening of Primark boosted the number of people coming through their doors by a massive 25 per cent.
David Jackson, commercial director of The Lanes, added footfall on Sunday soared by an enormous 71 per cent as the effect of the budget clothing chain arriving hit its startling peak.
Mr Jackson exclusively told The Cumberland News that 200,000 people had been shopping in the centre in the last week, compared to 160,000 the previous week.
