'Powerful' David Bone brutally attacked boy, 5



A powerfully-built serial criminal "stooped even lower into the swamp of degradation" when he repeatedly hit a five-year-old boy, a court heard.
David Bone, 31, lashed out at the boy - the son of a former partner - at their Hull home, when she left the pair together at home to go shopping.
Phillip Evans, prosecuting at Hull Crown Court, said: "She returned shortly to find (the boy) in tears nursing a large bruise on the left-hand side of his face. She challenged the defendant for an explanation. The defendant said he had fallen from a chair in the kitchen and hit his head.... read more
