Pound v euro: GBP rate rises against EUR after US dollar slump
 

While this was a slight recovery for the GBP/EUR rate, it is still seven cents lower than 2017’s high of €1.197.
The pound was also able to hit a 10-month high against the US dollar.
Following moderately cautious commentary from the Federal Reserve, the US dollar has slipped across the board due to reduced expectations of a 2017 interest rate hike.
Today’s main UK news has focused on changes to the free movement of EU nationals, which will come into effect when the UK exits the EU in 2019.
