Port Vale assistant boss Michael Brown says rested players should rally for MK Dons

PORT Vale assistant manager Michael Brown is hopeful the club will benefit from resting players in the Checkatrade Trophy as they prepare for Sunday's League One game at MK Dons.
Vale were beaten 1-0 at home to Mansfield in the Trophy on Tuesday night with a performance that Brown said was extremely disappointing. But he believes the decision to make six changes at least gives the team the best possible chance at Stadium MK.
Jak Alnwick, Kjell Knops, Remie Streete Anthony Grant, Sam Foley and Martin Paterson could all to return to the side, as could Jerome Thomas if he passes a fitness test... read more
