Popular sleeping products ‘putting babies at risk of cot death’
 

Popular products being sold to aid babies’ sleep are actually putting them at risk of cot death, a leading charity has warned.
The Lullaby Trust named cushioned sleeping pods, nests, cot bumpers, pillows, and any other item that could ‘wedge’ a baby in place, among the items putting babies at risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
They do not conform to safer sleep guidelines and can pose a risk to infants under 12 months, the charity says.
