Popular Bold Street printing shop to close for good
 

A much loved Bold Street shop is to close after 30 years because its owner can no longer keep up with high business rates and online competition.
Desktop Print, whose personalised t-shirts are popular with hen and stag parties, is shutting its doors for the last time on Saturday.
Owner Alec Phillips 53, said: “It’s taken me about three years to come to the decision to close, but I finally made up my mind a couple of months ago. I work here on my own and the trade has gone downhill since the online market took off. I’ve tried to keep it going but it’s too hard.”
