Police underwater search team finds man's body in the River Trent
 

A police investigation has been launched after a man's body was found in the River Trent this morning.
The body was found submerged at the Victoria Embankment, opposite the paddling pool and park, at around 8.15am on Wednesday, October 19.
Officers arrived at the scene after a member of the public alerted the police.

An underwater search team has been working to safely recover the body this morning and the area has been cordoned off while investigations continue.
The body is yet to be identified.
