Police shooting victim was jailed for eight years for drawing gun on officer and pulling trigger - which jammed



A man shot by a firearms officer was once jailed for eight years after drawing a gun on a police constable and pulling the trigger - which jammed.
Sharif Cousins, 41, is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit in the chest in Hereford Close, Bartley Green, on Wednesday night.
Community sources say he was critically injured and has undergone surgery.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission is investigating the shooting, which took place as armed officers were responding to a firearms report.
