Police 'rugby tackled' Jo Cox accused
 

The police officer who arrested the man accused of murdering Labour MP Jo Cox rugby tackled him to the ground, the Old Bailey has heard.
PC Craig Nicholls said he and PC Jonathan Wright got out of their patrol car in Birstall, West Yorkshire, and brought him down with a "heavy" impact.
PC Nicholls said the man put his arms up and said "It's me" when the officers arrested him on 16 June.
Thomas Mair, 53, from Birstall, denies murder. The trial continues.
