Police investigate reports of addicts taking drugs in city car parks

Police are to patrol multi-storey car parks to investigate reports of drug-taking and drinking.
Officers in Leicester city centre say members of the public have reported seeing users injecting heroin in stairwells.
People have also told officers they have encountered groups of street-drinkers and rough sleepers in a number of car parks.
The reports indicate the illicit activities are taking place late at night or in the early hours of the morning, when the car parks are not so busy.
