​Police hunting hit-and-run driver who left pedestrian injured in Grange Road, Thurnby



Police are hunting a hit-and-run driver who left a pedestrian lying injured in a road.
The incident happened in Grange Road, off the A47 Uppingham Road, Thurnby, at 11.38am today.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital and was said to be in a " stable" condition.
Police closed off the road immediately after the accident. It has since been re-opened.
A police spokeswoman said: " We were called at 11.38am to a non-stop road traffic collision between a pedestrian and a car."
She said: " Inquiries are continuing to locate the driver."
