Police found 54-year-old man dead at Blythe Bridge home

POLICE discovered a 54-year-old man dead at home after visiting his property because he had failed to appear in court.
Andrew Godfrey had not turned at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court in April to be sentenced for assault and criminal damage following an incident in Meir Park.
A warrant for his arrest was issued and police visited Mr Godfrey's Blythe Bridge home on May 20.
But they found unemployed Mr Godfrey hanged in the hallway of his Mayfield Drive property.
