Police following a 'number of lines of enquiry' after Crimewatch Brian McKandie murder appeal
 

POLICE investigating the murder of mechanic Brian McKandie say they have had an "encouraging" response to a nationwide appeal for information on Crimewatch . 


Detective Chief Inspector Iain Smith highlighted the case on the BBC1 programme last night.

Brian's brother , Bill, also made an emotional plea for clues to what happened to his sibling.


He said: "We just can't put our finger on the reason for it happening - there seems to be no apparent reason.
