Police dogs will NOT move into old city court building

Merseyside Police’s dog squad will not be moving into Liverpool city centre’s old magistrates court – and the future of the building remains uncertain.
The historic Dale Street building closed in 2015 when all magistrates’ court hearings moved to the Queen Elizabeth II Law Courts in Derby Square.
The Ministry of Justice was hoping to sell it for around £2m.
In December, Merseyside Police said it was in the process of buying the building to house its dogs team.
But the building has remained empty since then and its entrance is boarded up.
