Police crime chief 'gave Gordon Anglesea lifts to Bryn Estyn'
 

The North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Arfon Jones would drive Gordon Anglesea to Bryn Estyn children's home when he was a young police constable.
He recalled giving the retired police superintendent, who is accused of the historical sexual abuse of boys, lifts to the home in a police car, a jury at Mold Crown Court heard today.
Mr Jones, who retired from the force as an inspector in 2008, said he knew Anglesea professionally in 1982.
He was a constable at the time while Anglesea was an inspector in charge of Bromfield on the outskirts of Wrexham.
