Police appeal for Good Samaritan who rushed to woman's aid to come forward

Police are appealing for a Good Samaritan who came to a woman’s aid to come forward.
A man allegedly hit a parked car with a hammer on Barns Road in Felton, Northumberland , at around 11pm on Sunday.
After damaging the vehicle, he allegedly pushed a woman against a fence causing her minor injuries.
Another man rushed to the woman’s aid but he was allegedly assaulted by the suspect and knocked to the ground.
Police say the Good Samaritan managed to get up and left the scene before officers arrived.
