A woman has had her finger severed after her phone was stolen in a daylight robbery.
Police said the incident took place at around 1.30pm on August 16 on Ashford Street in Shelton.
The woman and her husband were walking towards College Road when they were approached by two men.
One of them grabbed the woman's phone and they got into a white car, which police believe may have been a Fiat 500.
The woman tried to grab her phone back but her hand got caught as the car door was slammed – severing the nail and bone of her finger down to the first knuckle as the robbers drove off.
