Plans which could bring 5,000 homes and two new Metro stations in North Tyneside given green light



North Tyneside Council has approved a development plan which could transform the area over the next 15 years.
The planning framework paves the way for 5,000 homes, new roads, schools and businesses and even two new Metro stations.
The long-term development, which has met opposition since it was first suggested back in 2013, focuses on two sites - Murton Gap and Killingworth Moor.
