Petrol prices to rise 5p a litre as a result of weak pound, garage owners warn



Motorists will be forced to fork out even more for their fuel as pump prices are set to jump 5p a litre by the end of the month.
Garage owners are warning the weak pound and a rise in oil prices will push up the cost of petrol and diesel.
It came as the price of Brent crude oil hit the highest level in a year yesterday – more than £53 a barrel – amid speculation that Russia would join other oil-producing countries in cutting output.
