Pete does Wolston proud after landing top prize on ITV show



Viewers of popular TV quiz show Tipping Point may have seen a man from Wolston scoop the £10,000 jackpot last Wednesday, October 12.
Pete Evans, aged 75, stormed to victory after beating off his competitors and making it to the final round.
He filmed his appearance on the show over a year ago and kept the result a secret from everyone but his family .
Pete said: “I went along with the intention of enjoying myself and at a certain point I thought ‘hmm, I’ll see if I can win 10 grand here’ - and I did!”
He added that the show’s host, Ben Shephard, was keen to congratulate him on his win.... read more
