People are SHRINKING their new plastic £5 notes - and this is how



After being sold the new plastic £5 notes as "longer lasting", people have taken up the challenge - by deliberately attempting to shrink them.
The new notes are "harder to forge" and sport a portrait of Sir Winston Churchill - and have set tongues wagging since the Bank of England released it last month.
But not everybody is looking to spend them.
Indeed, while many Brummies have been busy doing something awesome with their new fivers, others have taken to attempting to shrink them.
