Pensioner saddled with £1,400 electricity bill by rogue landlord



A rogue landlord who left an elderly tenant living in a damp, mouldy flat to pay a joint £1,400 electricity bill, has been fined more than £11,000.
Steven John Gleave from Prestatyn owns four rental properties in Flintshire.
One of his properties – a ground floor flat in a two storey terrace in Shotton – was hit with an improvement notice from Flintshire Council after he failed to maintain it for a number of years.
Flintshire Council found the conditions the pensioner was living in were appalling.
