Pensioner killed himself when his wife died because he didn't want to be alone
 

A devoted husband who “didn’t want to be alone” killed himself after his terminally-ill wife died after 60 years of marriage.
Rowland and Mary Hilton were found dead in the summer house at their home in Ainsdale.
Mr Hilton, 82, and wife Mary, 79, who had lung cancer, were last seen together by neighbours in Westminster Drive on April 27.
An inquest heard that on May 3 their family solicitor received a letter - dated April 29 - which stated they intended to take their own lives.
