Pensioner battered with pool cue after singing at pub karaoke night



A disabled pensioner was battered with a pool cue in a pub toilet just moments after coming off stage during karaoke night.
Former docker George Nielson, 69, was left covered in blood and lost his false teeth after being smashed over the head several times with the cue inside the toilets of the Laburnum pub in Bootle.
The attack took place at the Litherland Road pub late on Saturday night, while the venue was hosting a karaoke event.
