Pensioner Arthur Scott jailed for attempted rape of girl after almost 50 years



A pensioner has been jailed for two years for attempting to rape a young girl nearly 50 years ago.
Arthur Scott, now 74, committed the offence in the presence of a baby when the girl was six or seven.
He then gave the victim "money for sweets", Hull Crown Court heard.
He only admitted exposing himself to her when he was interviewed by police, and said he had wanted to "explain about the birds and the bees".
