Pensioner almost four times the limit goes on 'demolition derby' along country lane



A pensioner almost four times the drink drive limit jumped into his Nissan and embarked on a trail of destruction.
The 60-year-old motorist hit a street lamp, reversed into another car, then knocked over a speed limit sign and hit a telegraph pole before finally stopping a mile away, a court heard.
Douglas Anderson of Long Hedges, Fishtoft, admitted driving with excess alcohol and failing to stop after an accident, when he appeared at Boston Magistrates' Court.
