A pensioner could be jailed after he admitted poisoning his wife’s food for a year.
Vaughan Mayes, 71, had grown weary of caring for his wife Jennifer, 70, and wanted doctors to offer more respite care.
Saudi princess ‘told bodyguard to kill decorator after he took pictures of her home’ So he crushed Warfarin tablets and put them in her food, poisoning her with a potentially lethal dose, Hull Crown Court heard.
She survived but was left with extreme stomach pains and suffering from repeat fevers.
Warfarin is a prescription-only medicine which is normally uses to prevent blood clots.
