Pedestrian seriously hurt after attacked by two cyclists in St Helens

A pedestrian was left with serious head injuries after being attacked by two cyclists.
Police are appealing for information following the attack on Tuesday in Barrow Street, St Helens which left the victim with what they termed "serious head injuries".
A spokesman said: "At around 2.15pm the victim was walking along Barrow Street when he became involved in an altercation with two men on pedal cycles. The victim has then been assaulted by the men that has left him with serious head injuries.
