Patient’s relative throws bottles and cans breaking ambulance window
 

Paramedics were left ‘shaken’ after their ambulance was attacked with wine bottles and beer cans, smashing a window.
They had responded to a call-out, but one of the patient’s relatives launched the attack which caused £250 of damage.
North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) bosses said staff were left ‘very shaken’ and paramedics and the patient could have been ‘seriously injured’.
An extra ambulance had to be sent.
