Path by river in Leicester cordoned off by police



A path under a bridge in Leicester has been cordoned off by police.
About 100 yards of footpath is blocked off with police tape on the city side of the River Soar, off Slater Street, and near St Margaret's Way, in Leicester.
Police officers are currently at the scene.

A passer-by said he saw a police forensic van there this morning.
The Mercury has asked Leicestershire Police why the path is closed, and is awaiting a reply.
