A woman church pastor who dishonestly claimed £36,000 in state benefits has been warned she may face a jail sentence.
Stephanie Meakin was convicted today after a four day trial by a Liverpool Crown Court jury who returned their unanimous verdict after just 90 minutes.
The judge, Recorder Mary Loram, told Meakin: “The speed of their verdict is perhaps an indication of the strength of the evidence against you.
“Immediate custody is a realistic option for you.”
