Passengers in France bored with waiting for their train can now print out free short stories from vending machines

We've all been there - the train is running late and you've run out of people to stare at on the platform or Facebook status updates to read and the heavy boredom is sinking in. 
Those scenarios are soon-to-be distant memories for the French, who have now got vending machines at stations across France that dispense short stories to waiting passengers. 
The scheme was launched a year ago in Grenoble train station and has proved so popular that it is being rolled out across 35 more stations throughout the country.
