Parents fury after school calls bully bleach attack a 'silly accident'



Parents have reacted with fury after Great Barr School dismissed a bleach attack on a 12-year-old pupil as a “silly accident”.
It was claimed a bully poured bleach into the eyes of the student until Bal Showker, who runs newsagent Birdbrook News, intervened.
The victim was rushed to hospital and doctors said it was only the glasses he was wearing which prevented a partial loss of sight.
A school spokesman said the incident was a water fight that got out of hand. They said one child had picked up a plastic bottle he found on the street, unaware that it contained toilet cleaner.
