Palestine: Cabinet to meet in Gaza Strip



THE Palestinian Authority will hold a cabinet meeting in the Israeli-besieged Gaza Strip next week, a spokesman said yesterday.
In a sign of warming relations between the Fatah and Hamas parties, authority spokesman Yousef al-Mahmoud said Fatah Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah made the decision after consulting President Mahmoud Abbas, the official Wafa news agency reported.
Mr Mahmoud said the PM and cabinet ministers will arrive in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip on Monday to assume their duties.
The cabinet meeting is expected to be held the next day.
