Coventry City picked up a precious 2-1 win over Oxford United to lift themselves off the foot of the League One table and leave opposition manager Michael Appleton bemoaning his own side's inability to compete.
Goals from Ben Stevenson and Marvin Sordell saw Sky Blues sink the 10th-placed U's, who were backed by a 2,100-strong away following at the Ricoh Arena, and consign them to a sixth defeat of the season.
