Opposition gathers to plans or 'insensitive' office move



ANGRY consultants, funeral directors and patients have signed a petition condemning ‘insensitive’ plans to move the Infirmary’s bereavement office.
More than 100 people have voiced their anger at controversial proposals to relocate the department to the cashiers’ office on the other side of the hospital.
They say this means that grieving relatives will be forced to queue to collect death certificates alongside members of the public.
Councillor Jean Ashworth slammed the ‘insensitive’ move and urged health chiefs to reconsider.
