Only 20 pupils in Grimsby-area got A-levels to get in UK's best universities

Just 20 pupils in North East Lincolnshire got the A-levels needed to get into Britain's best universities.
The latest figures from the Department for Education show that just 4.3 per cent of A-level students in the borough got at least three AAB grades in their A-levels .
These pupils took at least two A-levels in so-called 'facilitating subjects' - in other words traditional subjects such as the sciences, maths, English literature and modern languages.
There were 460 pupils entered, which worked out at just 20 coming away with such a good set of grades.
