One site for new secondary school on edge of Derby is favoured by councils
 

One location is emerging as the likely favourite for a new secondary school on the edge of Derby.
Derbyshire County Council has earmarked land at both Boulton Moor and Chellaston as its preferred options to site the school, which would be built to cope with rising pupil numbers in the area.
And it has now been revealed that Derby City Council has expressed support for Boulton Moor as a location but it added that a more thorough assessment of transport impacts needed to be carried out, as it perceived difficulties with highways access.
