'One armed bandit' killer dealt fresh blow in bid to clear his name
 

A convicted gunman has received a fresh blow in the ongoing fight to clear his name.
Michael Luvaglio served 12 years in some of the country’s most notorious prisons for the brutal 1967 killing of Angus Sibbet.
The businessman’s bullet-ridden body was found in the back of his E-Type Jaguar on a freezing cold morning in South Hetton, County Durham.
Alongside his accomplice, Dennis Stafford, Luvaglio - whose case inspired the Michael Caine film Get Carter - was found guilty of the murder but has always maintained his innocence.
