Strikers Olivier Giroud and Karim Benzema have been left out of France's 23-man squad for the World Cup qualifiers with Bulgaria and Holland. 
Arsenal forward Giroud takes a break as he continues to recover from a slight toe problem, but Didier Deschamps has handed a first call-up to Athletic Bilbao's Aymeric Laporte after the Basque defender chose France over Spain in a debate over which country he should represent at senior level.
